A very concerning notion written somewhat kindly. I appreciate the article for the topic it brings forth, and I appreciate its mild tone because I, myself, am not a very mild person when it comes to topics like these. In the same breath I will openly admit that I think much harsher criticism should be handed to the people. To the you's and me's and others who shrug it away, who stay silent, who allow, who accept, and not to mention those who have completely lost it and advocate this trajectory.

I no longer expect anything from the corpos and the powers that be, I abandoned that expectation many many years ago. But the people's complacency, that hurts and saddens me deeply.

I want to believe the majority will see things as they are in due time. I want to believe that is the truth.

surveillance culture is so layered, I've been thinking about it more from the angle of performance of self moving from online to offline because we live in fear of 'being caught in 4k' but this has given me more to consider around the wider (and more insidious) implications.
