A very good summary and interview. More should read it - so I'm sharing it in Notes also. Keep on doing what you are doing!

Incredible read, will be looking more into Pinto's work!

Generally crappy criticism.

This article had the opposite effect intended, at least for me, but I'm a Zionist. That's Jew, in the common parlance. What a shame Alex Karp didn't turn out to be a Marxist after all; I don't know how I'll ever be able to sleep again.

Jews are not all Zionists. Zionist are not all Jews.

Ragebaiting is such a pathetic pastime

I dropped my phone in the toilet, so I have a lot of extra time on my hands until they send me a new one.

Not all Jews are Zionists and they shouldn’t be conflated. Zionists however, are collectivists. They are globalists. They are Statists. Therefore the can only be leftists. You’re a neocon, obviously, which means you’re an ideological descendant of Trotsky who prefers military force to “workers’ movements.” Do better, commie.

A dictionary can be your friend sometimes, if you like to throw big words around like a man with no arms.

“Too complicated to model"

Welcome to grad school

Chris Paul's avatar

Anyone who is not a still-deranged leftist would read this “whistleblower’s” opinions and probably feel more inclined to support Palantir. That’s how useless these complaints are. He’s also clearly not a whistleblower, just a dejected communist who thinks he’s slaying a dragon.

Malte's avatar

Well, it's way too complex. Not complicated, I would say.If it's complicated, we could model it.

Kevin McLeod's avatar

Everything is way too complicated to model. The notion we model thoughts in words is itself collectively suicidal. Time for analog across the board. No models, no symbols, no metaphors.

They don't say? Any philosopher or philosophy student could have told them that.

That didn’t stop United Healthcare and their 90% error rate from denying coverage via AI anyway. It’s a black box that can and WILL be exploited. Duh!

Their own promo banner says it all.

Jacob Sanders's avatar

They’re just figuring that out!?! Oh boy!

Sooo... the big, scary Palantir secret is that they're building data warehouses?

Cody Holl's avatar

I think you missed the point, the scary secret is they’re making a surveillance state that is inescapable

Ari's avatar

There is something uniquely terrifying about Palantir & the two person suit wearing wendigos in charge of it. Other surveillance industrial complex corporations like Clearview are despicable, but only Palantir evokes an image of a cosmic horror entity, like sentient black slime, seeping through the dark places of the digital world, inescapable & hostile to all life.

There's already community-based software such as Inkscape which I use on a daily basis.
